Mr. Hager received his BS degree in Physical Geography and Geology from Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, North Carolina in 1993.  He came to Theodore Roosevelt National Park in 1994, working primarily with GPS mapping of leafy spurge and coordinating field activities for biological control of noxious weeds.  In 1995 he was appointed to his current position of GIS Specialist.  He developed a GIS lab that supports Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Knife River Indian Villages NHS and Fort Union Trading Post NHS.  Mr. Hager’s areas of expertise include GIS (Arc/Info, ArcView), GPS (Trimble, Rockwell) and remote sensing.

• principal investigator and coordinator for the GIS component of TEAM Leafy Spurge
• co-investigator for NASA research project High Resolution AVIRIS Hyperspectral Imaging for Detection and Mapping of Leafy Spurge at Theodore Roosevelt National Park
• co-investigator for NASA research project Hyperspectral Monitoring of Invasive, Non-Native Plant Species with EO-1 Hyperion Imagery
• air quality coordinator for Theodore Roosevelt National Park
