Interests: Plant community ecology and physiological plant ecology.
Current work: Applying ecological principles, including plant competition and succession, to developing sustainable management of noxious weeds on rangelands. Projects include revegetation and restoration of spotted knapweed infested rangeland, integrating biological control with herbicides, integrating sheep grazing with herbicides, and developing an ecologically based decision support system for managing leafy spurge.
