Biography: Douglas H. Johnson is a supervisory statistician at the Northern Prairie
Wildlife Research Center in Jamestown, North Dakota. He currently leads
the Grasslands Ecosystem Initiative, which works with many partners to
assess the biotic resources of the Great Plains. Doug holds a B.A. degree
in Mathematics and Psychology, an M.S. in Statistics, and a Ph.D. in Zoology.
Among his current research interests are grassland and wetland birds, sandhill
cranes, and statistical ecology.
