Biography:
David J. Kazmer is an Assistant Professor of Entomology (specialization
in biological control) in the Department of enewable Resources at
the University of Wyoming. He works on basic and applied research in biological
control, and facilitates the implementation of new weed biological programs
for the state of Wyoming. Current projects include the biological control
programs for leafy spurge, dalmatian and yellow toadflax, Russian knapweed
and saltcedar. Past projects have included the biological control programs
for Russian wheat aphid and moth pest complex of tomatoes.
Kazmer serves on the Wyoming Biological Control of Weeds Steering Committee,
the Wyoming Weed Council, the Wyoming State Weed Team, and the USDA-CSREES
W-185 working group, "Biological Control in the Pest Management Systems
of Plants."
