Dr. Rod Lym is Professor in the Plant Sciences Department at North Dakota State University.  He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Wyoming.

His principal responsibilities are research for control of invasive weeds with emphasis on leafy spurge control.  His program has moved strongly to integration of herbicide treatments with other control methods including tillage, biological control with insects, and grazing animals.  Also, he has conducted physiological studies concerning factors affecting the efficacy of herbicides for leafy spurge and thistle control, especially the effect of environment, adjuvants, and combination treatments on root toxicity.
